WEBHinsdale’s Whole Foods store was the target of a phoned-in bomb threat Tuesday, according to village police, with indications that the call originated outside the country. The threat was determined to be unfounded. Police Chief Brian King reported that a call came in to the 500 E. Ogden Ave. store at 11:56 a.m. Tuesday.

WEBElmer F. Hass Jr., 89, of Clarendon Hills, formerly of Hinsdale, passed away on June 20, 2024, after a courageous three-year fight with cancer. Elmer was one of four children of Elmer Hass Sr. and Verna (Datta) Hass. Elmer was a longtime resident of Hinsdale. He built and operated Elmer & Sons Auto Center in Clarendon Hills.
