Nikki Hiltz, an American transgender middle distance runner, qualified for the women's 1500m at the 2024 Paris Olympics with a record-breaking time of 3:55.33 at the 2024 U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials.

Nikki Hiltz is heading to the Olympics for the first time after charging late to win the women's 1500m final at U.S. Track & Field Team Trials, qualifying along with Emily Mackay and Elle St. Pierre.

"When I was 18 we broke into Hayward one night and we were like freshman idiots just sitting on the track," Hiltz told a group of reporters on Sunday night. "I just remember thinking, 'I'm going to have a moment here.

I n a race that was fast and furious from the beginning and thrilling at the end, Nikki Hiltz —the reigning national champion and indoor silver medalist—outkicked pre-race favorite Elle St. Pierre and Emily Mackay to win the women’s 1500 meters.
