A mental health evaluation of Jared Ravizza, of Chilmark, has been extended after a competency hearing at Plymouth District Court on Monday.

A judge ordered the extended evaluation after Jared Ravizza of Chilmark, a town on Martha’s Vineyard, appeared in Plymouth District Court.

A Massachusetts man accused in a series of stabbings on the South Shore, including attacking four young girls at a Braintree movie theatre, and a murder in Connecticut, appeared in court Monday.
